National Orienteering Day
National Orienteering Day is the first
Sunday in May (4th in 2008) and serves the purpose of acting as a focus for
increasing awareness and opportunities for people to ‘Give Orienteering a Go’ at an ideal time
of the year. A number of events are held around Australia to celebrate the day.
