The opening race of the 2022 IOF World Cup was run last night in Boras Sweden. Aston key finished a very creditable =30th place in a field of 111 in a time of 16:51 which was 61 seconds behind Norway’s Kaspar Fosser. Olivia Sprod finished in 99th place in a field of 104 with a time of 21:13 which was 5;32 behind Sweden’s Tove Alexandersson.

Coach/Manager Brett Weihart advised that Aston missed seeing small gap at control 11 and had to backtrack and ran a fine race otherwise. Olivia in her first ever World Cup race had a good run to start off at this level of competition.

Congratulations to New Zealand’s Tim Robertson who took out 2nd place
