Aston, Milla, Mason and Aislinn all ran today in the Individual Sprint at the World Games in Birmingham, US. It was a fiercely hot and humid day on a university campus which was very hilly. Despite being quite a simple map, the courses were set well and had some exciting route choice challenges.

Aston was the strongest runner of the Aussies to finish a very exciting 7th place. Mason ran strongly and navigated well in his first World event to finish 34th.

Milla started really strongly but unfortunately made a late error to finish 29th. Aislinn made an regrettable mistake early in the course and finished in 32nd.

Tomorrow is the only forest race on some lovely high-visibility spur-gully terrain which should suit the Aussies well!”
