World Cup 1 News Recap

The World Cup 2024 started over the weekend in Olten, Switzerland. We saw five Australian athletes race in the exciting Knock-Out Sprint format on Friday & Saturday.

Australia’s top performance was from Henry McNulty who made it to the quarter finals Knock-out and was in the lead most of the way in his quarter final KO heat.

Sunday was the final day of the World Cup first round in Switzerland, which saw the athletes compete in the Individual Sprint on some longer, faster and simpler courses. The planner’s main surprise involved the courses taking the athletes onto the roof of the previous day’s quarantine.

Once again, Australia’s top performances came from Henry McNulty finishing in a very strong 19th place.
