Hosted on the Australian Sport Learning Centre, the Orienteering Learning Centre (OLC) features both orienteering specific and sport wide courses. This includes the recently updated orienteering coaching courses, the ASC’s Community Coaching – Essential Skills Course and some Play by the Rules courses, with more Sport Integrity Australia courses to follow. You can browse and complete the courses as soon as you sign up.
Both Orienteering Instructor (Teacher) and Orienteering Instructor (Community) are available to complete online. Learn and Play Orienteering Coach, Competition Orienteering Coach and Performance Orienteering Coach will follow in 2024. All components of each course are recorded on the platform, creating one central location for learning.

Accredited coaches don’t need to repeat an accreditation they have already completed. However, part of the process of joining the OLC has been creating E-learning material that new learners will complete in future. You may wish to complete this learning and are welcome to do so. During the implementation phase, Orienteering Australia will be organising the process for granting completion of any particular course to an individual who has already completed it before the OLC went live. Accredited coaches will receive communication about this process by April 2024.
