National mtbo series

To encourage riders to travel and compete at interstate events, a national competition for individuals and state teams was developed where points can be earned at the various state MTBO championships. Riders can not only earn points as an individual but also accrue point for their State team.

classes

The classes available to earn points in are based on age. Your age is defined as the age that you are at 31st December in the current year.

A riders result will be determined by their best 7 individual stage scores. Points from different age classes can not be combined. There is no limit to the number of state competitors who may enter/score points. Click on the button below for the points scoring table…

teams

At the Australian MTBO Champs, riders can earn points for for their state team (Canberra Cockatoos, NSW Stingers, Queensland Storm, Southern Arrows, Tasmanian Foresters, Victorian Nuggets and Western Nomads).
The two fastest state rider’s times, in each class are summed to determine the team placing. If there is only one rider then that state is ranked based on that result alone – below those with two riders.  After each event, points from each of the classes will be summed to give the National MTBO Series Team Scores.

The scoring is simply… 1st Place = 9 Points, 2nd = 7, 3rd = 5, 4th = 4, 5th = 3, 6th = 2, 7th = 1.
