Sprint Orienteering

Fast-paced events held in park or urban environments. It's all about rapid decision making.

What is It About

Sprint orienteering is rapid decision making on the go! Sprint orienteering tests your ability to interpret the map in complex urban environments. You plan and carry out route choices while moving as fast as you can. There are courses for all ages and abilities, even if your legs don’t move as fast as you want them to! The challenge is as much mental as it is physical. It’s a “sprint for the mind”.  Aussie orienteers have been medallists in this form of orienteering at World Championships!
