2026 Oceania Championships: Long & Sprint Championships

The final two days of the 2026 Oceania Orienteering Championships held in Canberra on Ngunnawal Country were the long distance and sprint distance on 3 and 4 October 2026.

Oceania Long – Saturday 3 October

Another big day of racing at Oceania Orienteering Champs 2026 was the long distance championships at Stromlo Forest Park.

The winners of the Long distance M/W21E courses were eligible for a personal WOC 2027 place in that event. Congratulations to kiwis Zefa Fa’avae and Rachel Baker- earning yet another spot in the NZ WOC 2027 team!

Oceania Sprint – Sunday 3 October

The final day of the Oceania Orienteering Champs 2026 was the sprint distance championships at Australian National University.

🗺 Course setter Duncan Currie noted “Welcome to the Australian National University, where you will find highly complex orienteering in one of the world’s most beautiful university campuses! Competitors will need to stay focused to carefully navigate the complex and intricate paths, buildings and passages.”
