Board Operational Update

Guidelines for Conducting Major Carnivals

At its meeting on Monday evening, 24 June, the Board has approved this significant document. This is a major item of work led by David Hogg and reviewed by our Technical Committee. The Guidelines cover all the details required for the organisation of our major orienteering carnivals, being the Australian 3-Days, Australian Championships week and Oceania Championships. OA extends a profound thanks and gratitude to David for leading this work and to all other orienteers who have contributed to the development of the Guidelines.

ASOC Rules Update

The Board has approved additional rule changes to the ASOC rules to further clarify the conduct of this important event. Thank you to our acting ASOC Coordinator Brodie Nankervis and Technical Committee Chair, Blair Trewin for leading this work.

2023 OA Annual Report

The Board has approved the 2023 Annual Report of OA following the presentation of an interim Annual Report at the AGM.

The Australian MTBO Team to compete at the 2026 Junior and Elite World MTB Orienteering Championships in Sweden from 24-30 August has been decided.
Progress points for the Silva Medal 2026 are now available after the three events.
Orienteering World Cup Round 2 will be held in Skara-Lidköping, Sweden from 28-31 May 2026. Athletes will compete in a Knock-Out Sprint, Sprint and Sprint Relay.
