Eventor Australia Server Switch – Eventor Offline Notification

On Wednesday 5th March, the developer of Eventor, SOFT, will be carrying out a switch to a new server. The timing of the switch is planned to commence at 23:00 (AEDT) and is expected to take approximately 2hrs. During the server switch, Eventor will be offline from approximately 23:00 (AEST) for a couple of hours.

At the same time Orienteering Australia will need to make a change to its own server settings to enable connection to the new Eventor server.

If anything goes wrong during the switch SOFT will probably abort and start the old server again (which will require OA to revert to the previous settings).

SOFT has performed testing on the new server and everything seems to work perfectly fine, so no problems are anticipated.

If everything goes to plan Eventor Australia should be back online sometime after 01:00 (AEDT) Thursday March 6th.

Any concerns should be directed to OA’s Eventor Working Group (EWG) via eventor@orienteering.asn.au .
