OA AWARDS FOR COACHING AND EVENT MANAGEMENT – CLOSING DATE FOR NOMINATIONS EXTENDED

As no nominations were received by the closing date of 14 January, the closing date for nominations for the Silva Award for Services to Coaching and the David Hogg Medal for Services to Event Management has been extended to 24 February 2025.

Can you think of anyone who has given exceptional service in either of these areas, either recently or over an extended period, who is worthy of nomination, and who has not already received the relevant award?

If so, please contact your state association to encourage the preparation of a nomination. Information about the nomination process is in part 5.5 of the OA Operations Guide Edition 6 on the OA website (under ‘Resources’), with past winners listed in ‘Awards’ (under ‘Get Involved’).

Nominations should be sent to the Manager, National Awards, David Hogg dhogg1943@gmail.com with a copy to the General Manager, Arpad Kocsik gm@orienteering.asn.au by Monday, 24 February 2025.
